02/23/03 | More News On Sly Boogy

      As previously reported, Sly Boogy's new single called "California" is blowing up on radio stations. It features Truth Hurts and Butch Cassidy and its off the chain. Sly is currently doing some promotional stuff for the new album "Judgement Day". There is no set release date, but it should drop in April.

In other news, Sly Boogy was in the studio with Dr. Stank, Damizza & Butch Cassidy a few days last week working on the new Dr. Stank Album. Sly Boogy's cousin Dirty Birdy's album is almost done, they are going to slang it the underground route this time. He has a gang of guests on there, more info to come...

02/23/03 | Dr. Stank Album This Summer

      More on Dr Stank... He has songs worth for a full album right now. He has a few features including WC, Redman, Dirty Birdy & more, and he will be suppose to get beats from Hi-Tek & Premier. The first single is called "Smell Me" and its slamin! Its suppose to drop in March/April with a video and the Album to follow in June. MCA shipped the White Label for it to radio this week and they will most likely use the sick song called "Deeznuzit" featuring Dirty Birdy on Stank's album.

02/23/03 | More Audio Added

      Here is an unreleased song by Snoop Dogg, Tha Twinz, Goldie Loc, Bigg Pimpin and the Lifestyles. The song is a radio drop they recorded thogether for the radio show Snoop had on Power 106 a few years ago. They rap over the "Still A G Thang" beat and this ones pretty cool.       Bizzy Bone's label 7th Sign Records is now in full swing. He is in the process of releasing his solo album on 7th Sign Records/Bungalo records (Dj Quik's label) called "Book of Bryon". The new album is in stores April 2003. Bizzy has executive produced an album by a guy named Double R which is available at BTNH Store.com. He is also in the process of signing Mopreme Shakur, and the next Thug Life album will be released on 7th Sign Records.

02/15/03 | Ghetto, Gutter & Gangsta

mack10       As previously reported Mack 10 will release a new soundtrack compilation called "Ghetto, Gutter and Gangsta" along with the self titled-straight to DVD/VHS movie. The movie features music videos, live performances from Ice Cube, MC Eiht and Dub C, low riders, homies C-Walkin and a gang of sexy females. The DVD Length is 100 mins and its gonna be released May 6th. The first single from the soundtrack is the blazin hit by the Westside Connection featuring Knoc-Turnal called "Lightz Out" produced by Damizza and mixed by Dj Quik. The song is already getting some airplay on radio stations. Also featured on the compilation is the song "Rude Awakening" by Shade Sheist feat. Butch Cassidy, Knoc-Turn'Al, Mack 10, N.U.N.E., Warren G, and OGLB. The song was meant to be the "Wake Up Remix" and is an interpolation of Mobb Deep's "Shook Ones".

       Daz' new distribution website "101 Distribution" posted a few more audio clips from the new album "DPGC...U Know What Im Throwin Up" including the self titled song "U Know What Im Throwin Up" featuring Snoop Dogg & Goldie Loc. 02/09/03 | Roscoe Pushed Back

       Roscoe's debut album "Young Roscoe Philafornia" has been pushed back again. The album is now dropping in June on Roscoe's label that he started with his mother Sharon & brother Kurupt "R.O.S.E" and Priority Records. After that he will drop the Y.A. album "Youth Authority" with his group Tristar, YG, Bizzle, and J. Wells, the producer behind the YA sound. Including its extended members who are from YA but not in the immediate group with there own deals, Eastwood, Lil Zane, Lil RJ and Lil Peanut. The Y.A. album should hit stores in November 2003.

daz       The official DPG Recordz website posted 6 audio clips from the new Daz album "DPGC...You Know What Im Throwin Up", including the first single "Dogg Catcha" which samples Atomic Dogg. The new release date is March 4, 2003. The first 5,000 Preorder copies will have a Daz signature on the case. The first 20,000 CDs sold will include a special edition DVD.

       Shaquille O'Neal just got a deal with Columbia so he's gonna release his album through them, the cd which never saw the light of day on his old label. The album "Shaq Presents His Superfriends" has appearances from Jayo Felony, Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, W.C. and others.

02/08/03 | RIP Roger JR.

       I dont know it was ever mentioned but Roger Troutman's son, Roger Jr. died two weeks ago from complications he sustained. This is very sad as Roger Jr was just startin to make moves in the music industry. RIP & my condolences to his two kids and the whole family.

       Shade Sheist will be performing tonight at Club Good Times inside of Q-Topia in Hollywood. The address for the show is 6021 Hollywood Blvd, North Hollywood, CA. A lot of folks weren't able to get tickets to his House of Blues shows with Dj Quik last year so if you wanna go make sure you get your tickets.

       The official Tha Row website posted the updated tracklisting to the "Dysfunktional Family" Soundtrack. The tracklist is posted below, it has new added tracks by JayZ, Ashanti and suprisingly Mack 10. The 2Pac/Crooked I collabo "2 Of Amerikaz Most Wanted" has been scrapped and could make the 2pac Remix album. 02/05/03 | Knoc Talks "The LP"

       As previously reported, Knoc-Turn'al will return with his new album entitled "The LP". He is putting the final touches on the album, scheduled for release in May.

 

"Now it's 'The LP'. People was mad at the EP cause it was short, so I'ma give them what they want, The LP. For The LP I got production from Dr. Dre, DJ Quik, Warren G, and Scott Storch as well as myself and Nate Dogg. Expect growth, I grew and elevated with the type of music I'm trying to deliver", Knoc told thesource.com

 

Knoc is also working on a song for a Sprite commercial with LA Laker, Kobe Bryant, which will drop in this spring.

       Here is the track "Hard In The Paint" by PaperWork signed rapper N.U.N.E. from Compton, featuring Caz and Knoc-Turn'al. Look for those three to make noise as they all drop their new albums this year. Knoc with his 2nd album "The LP" coming in spring, Caz with his 3rd album "Hood Hits" in summer as well as the big debut by N.U.N.E. in summer. Anyway, this much talked about song is fire, Damizza did the production and its gonna be the first single from the upcoming "Damizza Presents... Vol. 2" compilation.
