This is what went down: While the whole Dogg Pound clique was on stage performin and dissin Tha Row some bloods rushed the stage, throwing they hat & bottles on stage and then a riot broke out in the audience and then they cancelled the show, about 80 percent of the concert was complete when the performance was halted. Snoop & the crew ran away [lol] as fast as they could and Daz threw a speaker at someone in the audience. Them bloods fucked up the entire set, all the speakers, lights and all of DJ Jams shit and threw records in the crowd. Security couldnt do shit cause they ran as well...Thats some fucked up shit right there. Read the full story

Sup peeps, back with some new shit. Kurupt's Space Boogie started in the Billboard Charts at #10, and sold 84,000 in the 1st week [Bad Azz debuted at # 59 in Billboard]. MTV.com had a long article on Kurupt. They gave up interesting infos, like his new album gonna be called 'Music Speaks Louder Than Words' and he's already workin on it. Fred Wreck & Daz are executive producer. The next single from Space Boogie will defnitely be 'Sunshine' feat. Jon B.
Speakin of Kurupt, he is scheduled to appear on MTV DFX next week and will be a presenter and performer at the Source Awards in Miami. Here's also a new Interview conducted by Allhiphop.com. They talkin bout the new album, Natina, the beef & more so make sure you read it here. Some people still havin troubles findin all 3 bonus tracks from Space Boogie, since they not available for everyone to buy, you can download all 3 below

Kurupt - Have Fun feat. Tha Liks [Download]
»
Kurupt - Bitches feat. Roscoe, Butch Cassidy [Download]
»
Kurupt - The Life I Live feat. Krook [Download]

This is the article that MTV.com had up on their site. Peep:
"She's Kobe, and I'm Shaq," Kurupt said of himself and his fiancée, Blaque's Natina Reed, on the heels of the Lakers' championship series win last month.
The lovebirds can currently be caught trading verses, Crip-walking and courting each other in the video for Kurupt's "It's Over." The L.A. by way of Philly rapper may be on to something — their duet helped him debut at #10 on the latest Billboard 200 albums chart with Space Boogie: Smoke Oddessey.
It was just a year ago that the longtime buddies fell in love. As to who made the first move, we'll probably never know — each one jokingly claims to have been "attacked" by the other, and Kurupt proposed soon after.
The musical mates were supposed to tie the knot in August, marking a year since they've been together, but the Cali rhyme slinger said their careers have gotten in the way of their nuptials.
"I think we're gonna go ahead, do that big step and get married — probably in late 2002, beginning of 2003," Kurupt said. "Right now, we're just gonna work. We got a lot of work we got to do."
Kurupt said he's already planning his next project, Music Speaks Louder Than Words.
"It's going to be executive-produced by Fredwreck and Daz Dillinger," he said. "We already started on that. With Space Boogie, I'm taking everybody into my mind. I've never done that — I always kept [the fans] right in front of my face. But I'm [getting ready] to take them deep back into my mind. The best way to explain [Music Speaks] is listen to Dogg Food."
Kurupt, who also goes by the alias Young Gotti, is referring to the controversial album he dropped with Daz in 1995 as Tha Dogg Pound.
"[I told Daz], 'We gonna sit back and listen to that muthaf---er for three months; listen to it all the time. We gonna reconstruct the whole Dogg Food feel,'" he said. "I told Daz, 'We need to go back to that level musically and verbally.' You hear how our voices sound? We was more laid-back, we was more into partying."
His wifey, who took a break from working on her album to roll to New York with her future hubby, said Blaque are working on some "sad songs for all the miserable people." But they'll also be partying on the new album, tentatively titled Blaqueout.
"This record is going to make you feel like Destiny's Child's second record, where you can listen to songs all the way through," Reed said.
The disc is being recorded with Dallas Austin in Lenny Kravitz's Miami home studio and will have beats provided by Jermaine Dupri and the Neptunes, Reed said. Blaque are also trying to hook up guest appearances by Ludacris, the Youngbloods and their mentor Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes for the album, due in October.
"We're gonna drop the first single [in the next few weeks] and finish up," Reed said. "We're very deep — we recorded 31 songs. Sixteen songs we like. [Sony Music chief] Tommy Mottola only wants us to do 10 or 12. I'm trying to push it up to 13."
Reed wasn't too talkative when asked why Blaque have taken so long to follow up their 1999 self-titled debut, saying only that the mother of one of her groupmates had died and that the trio had additional "technical difficulties." However, she did say to expect more R&B than pop on the new disc.
"We're coming really fun this time around," Reed said. "We have a song saying how much we hate each other, but on the fun tip. Music has evolved into some 'I hate my boyfriend and I hate bitches'-type garbage."
Blaque's most flamboyant member also shrugs off getting dissed by Foxy Brown on the Brooklyn rapper's song "7:30."
"Some hos is always yappin' — especially pop-star bitches with the soft image," Foxy raps on the track, before referencing her ex-beau Kurupt. "So what I ain't with him? Bitch, he's off limits."
"You can't chase something that doesn't chase you back," Reed said. "I don't spend a lot of time thinking about what people think about me. It's petty — it's like people never grow up in this game. You watch Biggie and all that sh-- that [he] and Pac went through, and people still don't get the message. They still want to start the wars and create fires."
The Clyde to Reed's Bonnie knows firsthand about being in the center of flames. Although he was "riding" with Tupac at the time of Pac's feud with the Notorious B.I.G., Kurupt said he remained friends with Bad Boy during the beef and even tried to get Pac to squash everything. He thanks Biggie in Space Boogie's album credits.
Another person Kurupt holds dear is Jon B, who collaborated with him on Space Boogie's next single, "Sunshine."
"It's really like a tribute to our ladies," Kurupt said. "The weird thing is that I made that before me and Natina got together. It almost sounds like I'm talking about her where I say she's the one like Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes. It's weird." Maybe Young Gotti is psychic. After all, Reed was somebody he needed. As he puts it, "Every gangsta's got a gangstarette."

The next thing comes from the homie Dimu. Tha homie keeps hookin up everybody with tight news, so respect to the playa. Its about Big Syke's new album and it features some nice guests. Read:
Big Syke known as one of tha original "Outlawz" under tha alias "Mussolini" will release his 3rd album on D3 Entertainment called "Big Syke Daddy" on Sept. 25. It features a few guests like E-40 and tha almighty DJ Quik. Here comes a quote out of Entertainment Wire: "The album boasts a guaranteed hit with the single "Time Iz Money," which features Bay Area favorite E-40 and world-renowned rapper/ producer DJ Quik, who provides a double threat by producing the track as well." Damn you know its gotta be tight if Quik laced the beat. And here's what DJ Quik had to say about the album: "It should be against the law to have this much fun in the studio with one of the
realest players in the game. Consider me back on."

As previously reported at WCKillaz.com, there will be a tribute DVD to Eazy E. Heres some more info on the movie: Both DVD & Video are planned, but it remains to be seen if both will come out or just a video. Footage includes old Bone interviews, and funeral home video taken by Bigg A, talking to everyone from Kokane to Jerry Heller. There will be a soundtrack comin out to this movie, Daz will be doin some work but it will come out on Lil E Records. Dont forget theres also the Lil E album comin out at the end of the year with guest producers like Dre, Daz, Battlecat & more. Bigg A wants every West Coast site to post infos about this DVD, so feel free to take the news.

Expect Devin to duplicate, if not surpass his first album. The Dr. Dre produced track "Yo Ho," and the body banger "Some of 'Em" which features Nas are classic Devin tracks that should finally give Devin world wide recognition. The biggest surprise on the album has got to be the DJ Premier produced "The Doobie Ashtray". Devin and Premier hooked somethin up that will have all hip hop heads sayin DAMN!! Check ThaFormula.com for more infos and tracks from Devin soon. Tha Formula also got a chance to speak with Mel Man about Aftermath's upcoming projects. The Wash Soundtrack is scheduled for release between November and December. Mel told them to expect The Wash Soundtrack to be the dopest album dropped since The Chronic. It will feature Snoop, Dre, Devin, Mel, Hitt, and some surprise guest. Mel is also currently working with one of his newest artists Joe Beast, so be on the lookout for that. Thanx to the Formul.com a for all this news

As we told you before, Warren G has signed to Universal Records and at the moment he's all the way in New York working on his 4th album, as soon as that drops, the website/promotion starts. The new album will feature Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Nate Dogg, Butch Cassidy and Daz & Kurupt. In the meantime check out Cobra Reds website of the 5 Footaz. They all left Restless Records but Resless does still promote the 5 Footaz. Cobra Red has her own production company 'Swimmin With Sharks'. July 19, 2001

sUp mamis and papis, this was just handled to me by the homies Aaron & Matt. Its a short review of the first concert of the 'Puff Puff Pass Tour' in Portland. Aiight just read it cuz this should be a great show:
It opened with tha Liks poppin Giant 40 oz. blow up bottles similar to Eminems middle finger at the UIS tour. They did 9 tracks old and new in about half an hour, then Bad Azz came through for about 20 minutes and performed about 4 songs. Then the Dogg Pound was next for about an hour with a tight set with tracks like 'What Would You Do?', the Remix to 'Change the Game', 'Livin Gangsta Like' & more. After that Snoop came on and did a huge set of about an hour and a alf and brought up the Eastsidaz & Doggys Angels. Unlike his show with Dre on Up In Smoke, Snoop went through the whole catalogue playing shit from every solo album and The Eastsidaz albums. The highlight was when tha Dogg Pound came back on stage for most of Snoop's set. They did old songs like Doggy Dogg World, Pump Pump, Who Am I & more. Snoop was definately into the crowd and gave a bangin' performance. At the end they were on stage with a huge posse consisting of The Eastsidaz, DPG, Bad Azz, Soopafly, Doggys Angels, Snoops uncle June Bug, and more. I was told that Daz and Kurupt pose for pictures after the show, they supply the camera which sucks because you get a Polaroid. To get your picture taken with them costs $20 so make sure to bring at least $20 if you want a pic with em. DAAAmn 20 bucks for 1 picture is quite expensive, thats jsut the way how Daz is makin money. We'll have pictures from the concert soon on the site. This looks to be a great show, make sure yall get ticketz when they available in your town.

Snoop Dogg appeared in lots of videos lately. You can catch him in 'Just A Baby Boy', 'I Luv It', Loosen Control', 'Lay Low' and hes also in the new Bad Boy video 'Bad Boy 4 Life'. Pretty soon he will shoot the video for his first single called 'Bones' from the self titled movie soundtrack. The song features Outkast and it was produced by Meech Wells so you know its gotta be hot. The Bones movie itself hits theatres nationwide on October 19th and the accompanying Priority Records soundtrack is available in stores September 25th.

If you ever wondered where the big homie Nate Dogg stays with his new album, here's the answer. Nate appeared on so many songs lately and now its about time Nate comes out with his own shit. Right now he's in the process of recording his currently Untitled album. It will come out in late November on Elektra Records. Guest appearances will come from the whole DPG clique as well as Dre, label mates Missy Elliot & more. Nate just recorded a song with Brian McKnight called 'Don't Know Where to Start' for Brians forthcoming album. And the homie DPGMasterMind just told me that Nate Dogg hooked up for a track called 'Gangstaz & Thuggz' with Krayzie Bone & Young Dre. The song was produced by Super Sako who works for Thugline Records. He has also produced songs like the one by Caz & Kurupt from the album 'Thundadome'. The song with Nate Dogg will be on the upcoming Thugline Records Compilation due out sometimes this year. And Speakin of Bone Thugs N Harmondy, they are off 'Ruthless Records'! This happened cause Tomica Wright Records sold Ruthless Records. Baby S & King Tee are still signed. The Bones have talked to several lables including Loud Records. From What Ive heard, Tha Row could be a possibility as well...We'll let you know...remember where you heard it 1st.

Ras Kass was on 100.3 the Beat the other day and he talked bout his forthcoming album & other projects. He's currently workin on his new album 'Van Gogh', on the Golden State album and hes also workin on the new Xzibit album 'Man vs Machine'. The song 'Home Sweet Home' was supposed to be the first single from his solo album but after the drAma with Alchemist & Jadakiss it wont even appear on the album. Ras has a new single and its called 'Back It Up' and features Kokane. Producers on Van Gogh are Battlecat, Rick Rock, Mike City & more. Van Gogh will be in stores October 9th on Priority Records. Also, the first Golden State single is produced by Battlecat and should be a heater. The album is called 'Bounce, Rock, Golden State'. Listen to the interview & listen to the Ras Kass freestyle. Also check out RawMusicTV.com cause they got an interview with him & Kurupt this week.

Next on I got something to push that needs promotion, 2 independent albums and a new mag. First I gotz to represent for my bigg homie C-Infamous whos currently workin on various projects with his crew 604 Entertainment. U can visit their official website at 604 Entertainment for infos on all the upcoming projects, listen to audio previews, catch the artist lineup & more. Yall need to peep em, they got some young talented rappers and a top production team.

Also be on the lookout for this independent compilation as well, this has some major rappers on it like Tray Deee, Ras Kass, kokane, Bad Azz, B-Real, Lil Jay, Jayo Felony, Mausberg (R.I.P.), Daz Dillinger, tash, 40 Glocc, Yukmouth & more. The compilation will be released on 'Right Hands Records' and is called 'West Next' and should be out August 7th but expect it to get delayed since its independent baby! The first single is called 'Cali Way' and features Tray Deee, Kokane & Mr Mash. Its a classic West Coast song with dark beats, but hot fo sho! Check it out below. Thanx to Kevin for the song. Next on is a new type of Magazine thats gonna come out very soon. The Magazine is called 'Urban Rom' and and the interesting thing is that its a magazine thats releaSED on a CD-Rom and not on paper. You check for infos at www.urbanrom.com. Importand to know is that the big dogg King Lou hosts a section. Yall shud know him, he's in Battlecat's rap group the Lost Angels. The Lost Angels have a track on the Baby Boy soundtrack, called "We Keep It G" which is a good track. Also, King Lou rapped on the Doggy's Angels CD on Track 18, Put Your Hands Up, produced by Battlecat. AND King Lou can be heard on Tha Eastsidaz, Duces N Trayz on a tight track titled DoggHouse In Ya Mouth (He is the 4th rapper, right after Soopafly). A few people were confused about the Bonus Tracks that showed up on Kurupts Space Boogie album. There are actually 3 Bonus tracks. Some US Versions have the song 'The Life I Live' feat. Krook and theres another version with the song 'Have Fun' feat. Tha Liks on it. The European Version has the song 'Bitches' feat. Roscoe & Butch Cassidy. Theres also a Japanese version which has all of them. We'll have all the songs for you soon. Oh yeah, if you didnt know, the next single from 'Dillinger & Young Gotti' will be 'How Many', this is the song which has a rock feelin in it. Daz said it ion the review/interview from the latest source issue [read]. I wonder whats craccen with the DPGC reunion album. Here are the articles that I promised last time. Click here to read the Source article on the Eastsidaz and here to read the XXl article on Kurupt. Below is an article from MTV.com about the forthcoming Dogg Pound album 2002 including album opinions from Kurupt, the Big C Style thing & how Big Hutch produced the tracks. Read to find out what they had to say.
"Waste not, want not" may as well be Suge Knight's mantra — he, more than any other record executive, knows the importance of making the most of studio time.

It may take a few years, but chances are if you're one of Knight's past or present artists, your Death Row recordings are going to see the light of day. Knight has been able to eat off Tupac Shakur's music for years after the acclaimed MC died, and he even put out a couple of Snoop Dogg albums long after the Long Beach, California, native found refuge with Master P down South. Now Knight is geared up to put out an album by former Death Row inmates Tha Dogg Pound.

Featuring music recorded as late as a year and a half ago, Tha Dogg Pound 2002 is set to be released on July 31, two weeks after Pound member Kurupt drops a new solo album and three months after he and his partner Daz released an LP of new material.

"I kinda wanted to put Tha Dogg Pound back on the concrete, so I picked the more grounded records [for the album]," said Gregory "Hutch" Hutchinson, a.k.a. Above the Law's Cold 187um. "For a while, they had been doing more radio-friendly tracks, unlike what they had been doing at the beginning of their career."

As head of production for Death Row (a position once held by Dr. Dre), Hutch was responsible for scouring Suge's vaults and choosing songs for the album. Once he selected the cuts, he went through a month and a half of doctoring up the tracks.

"I went back and put a 2001 twist on them," Hutch said. Besides adding verses from current Death Row acts, including Crooked I and SKG, Hutch added his own enhancements — such as bass and synthesizer parts — to about 70 percent of the album's beats, which were primarily produced by Daz.

"[I changed them] not merely for the sake of changing them, but to enhance them, make them sound sweet and rich," he said. "That's an extra twist." The Pound's LP has a distinctive g-funk feel. They team up with Tupac Shakur for "Don't Stop," which sees Daz rhyming about "mashing with the craziest, illest ni---as in town" while Pac lets off shots at Bad Boy Records, claiming to be "a Biggie annihilator" and a "Bad Boy killer." Meanwhile, Kurupt displays his usual battle rap skills.

The opening seconds of "Living Tha Gangsta Life," which features a cameo from Xzibit, includes a newscaster reporting that Snoop Dogg told police that Suge Knight killed Tupac. Then rapper Big C Style comes in and admonishes snitches.
Snoop himself is featured on "Smoke," and Nate Dogg can be found on "Just Doggin." The Row also secured the rights to include the remix of Jay-Z's "Change Tha Game" on the album.

As for how Tha Dogg Pound, who released their LP in May under the moniker Dillinger & Young Gotti, feel about the new album, Daz couldn't be reached for comment, but said in April that he had no beef as long as he can reap some of the financial rewards from its sales. Kurupt said Suge's move is something he would've done himself.

"I'm shocked he ain't been did it," Kurupt said recently. "I'm a fan now. I'm ready to buy it. There's so many songs on there I remember doing back in the days, I know he got. I'm like 'Man, I'd been drop a Dogg Pound record.' People wanna hear that. He got the rights to it so it's about time."

Hutch said he hasn't discussed the album with Tha Dogg Pound. "Everyone is kind of at a different level in terms of having different visions of the project, but I think they will be happy with it because it sounds great. Although I'm overseeing their work, my intentions were to make them look good. No matter what the politics are, it's still art."
You'll get to hear quite a bit more of Hutch's musical sculpting: He says the Row has banked at least two more albums' worth of Dogg Pound tracks.

I got a nice interview with Xzibit conducted by Fortress Entertainment, the production company that produced Xzibit's Restless X-Posed DVD. The shooting and editing are over and now the promotion begins. This is the first time that Xzibit has spoken in detail about his DVD/Home Video. Read below what he had to say.

Q - What Makes Restless Xposed so interesting?

Xzibit- What makes Restless Xposed so interesting and so much fun to watch is that its not choreographed, not scripted. Its definitely real life, straight up in your face, behind the scenes, what people want to see and never get to see. It s a year of our lives put down, documented, its just real fun to watch. Real people doing real things, your favorite artists, being who they are behind the mic.

Q- You took the time to make this project perfect, with interactive menus and your own commentary narrative. How else is Restless Xposed different from other artist DVD s?

Xzibit- What separates Restless Xposed from other music DVD s and Artist DVD s is that this in not something my record label put together, this is something I took time out along with Devin and created from the ground up. Its stuff you really don t get to see, unless you re us. The DVD is definitely not just videos or the best part of somebody s career. It has us at our best and worst. It s real fun to watch. Not only does it have mostly behind the scenes, it also has all of my videos from Paparazzi to What U See is What U Get to Foundation onto the new stuff with X and Front 2 Back. Its really put together nice.

Q-This DVD offers a lot more personal access than any other DVD out there. What will Xzibit fans get from watching this?

Xzibit- As far as the scenes go, there s a lot of scenes from the Anger Management Tour, from Europe. There s some unlikely stars, like the gopher, its definitely a highlight of the film (laughs). Myself, me partying down, that s also definitely a highlight of the film (laughs louder). And man its got all kinds of stuff that you definitely, definitely, definitely want to check out.

Q- Who are some of the guests in the DVD?

Xzibit- You gonna see my family, the Golden State project, Ras Kass, Saafir, Defari. Your gonna see Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Dogg Pound, Soopafly, Warren G, Master P. You name it Big Boy, Method Man, it goes on and on. The Alkaholiks (now Tha Liks) everybody is on there, a lot of people.

Q- Any last thoughts?

Xzibit- Check it out y all, you heard it here first, Mr. X to the Z Xzibit expanding out, giving you all a first look behind the scenes with us, right here, on Restless Xposed.

Its the Get Your Walk On Remix by Xzibit and features Daz & W.C. The song was produced by Fred Wreck and will blow yall true West Coast Headz away. They all droppin heat on this track. The next song is hot as well fa shizzo. Its by Nate Dogg & Roscoe called 'Yesterday'. The song is from the Pootie Tang Soundtrack which was released July 26th. Peep the tracklisting here. Next is a song from Mac Dre feat. Daz & Bad Azz called Dangerous. The song appeared on his latest album called 'Mac Dre Is The Name' which was released in May. Next on are 2 songs from the Nuthin But A Gangsta Party Vol. 2. First one is by Tone Taven feat. Kurupt called 'Make It Happen' and the other one is the remix to the classic 'I Love Cali' by Roscoe. Here are 2 songs from the Clicks D-Shot. The first has Kurupt and is called Thats Game, remember we brought that a few weeks ago and the new one from the same album has Nate Dogg, Butch Cassidy & E-40. Peep the self titled song Money Sex & Drugs. Tha Next one is the official remix of the Outkast song So Fresh, So Clean and it features Snoop Dogg. Then I got a new Dre produced song he did for Mary J Blidge. The song is called 'Family Affairs' and will be on her new album coming out soon. Tha beat sound like a recycled X beat. Tha second is called Cruisin and has Snoop Dogg on it, which we all know. Kokane appeared on the new Puff daddy & the Family album on the song called 'Lonely', need to check that out. Speakin of Bad Boy, I think a few out there saw the Behind The Scene special on the Notorious BIG on VH1 last week. This special was quite interesting, they reported on 2Pacs & Biggies shootin and the suspects, the same they reported in last Rolling Stone issue. They reported on the Death Row/ Bad Boy Beef and how it really started. They also showed things from the 1995 Source awards in NY when the Death Row clique jumped on stage and dissed the East.
Anyways, lets go on with the audio, next on we got a tight ass heater, straight dopeness. Its by WC and Nate Dogg again. Damn Nate hooked up with so many cats lately I cant even count the tracks he made in the last 3 months. As always Nate steals the show with his incredible voice. Check Paper Trippin from the Rush Hour 2 Soundtrack. Next on we got a heater by mysterious Benzino featuring Snoop Dogg & Scarface from the Rush Hour 2 Soundtrack as well. The track is called Figadoh. Last but not least I got a nice song by CJ Mac called Real Niggaz. Its quite new and it will be featured on his forthcoming album. he disses some cats in this song and tells who he s down with. Thanx to DPGCrip for this song.
