Block Party Tour Canceled - July 10, 2002

We have news about the West Coast Block Party Tour in Australia. Unfortunatly it is bad news. The promoters have cancelled The Frontier Urban West Coast Block Party due to poor ticket sales at all venues. Rumor has been circulating for a while that there were problems with the show and these proved to be true.

This Here is Courtesy of Raw-Impact:
We at Raw Impact were told by one of the primary organisers just two days ago (on Monday) that the shows were going ahead and to reassure our partners at Fortress Entertainment and artists in the States that things were fine, however we had a really bad feeling about it all. It should be stressed that this is in no way the fault of any of the artists involved. We know for a fact that Kurupt, Quik and Tha Lawz were all really eager to get down here.

The word right now is that the Outlawz tour will be rescheduled for later this year. No idea whether or not DJ Quik or Kurupt will be making it down to our shores. Oh and who cares about Young MC and Tone Loc right? Right now we are getting in touch with all the artists and will be be getting interviews with Kurupt, DJ Quik and Tha Outlawz to speak on the situation.

We'll keep you updated on this as it developes further. Refunds are apparently being made available from place of purchase. The Raw Impact Block Party site will remain up and the recently announced contest will proceed as planned.

Here is the highly anticipated first single from W.C. called The Streets. The Song features Nate Dogg, he did the hook as always. Now this track is ridiculous, beat is straight west coast and both come off tight on this track. Just listen for yourself. Scott Storch produced this joint. Make sure you get the new album, The Ghetto Heisman is finally coming! Click here to listen to The Streets.

If you read our exclusive interview with Defari a while back, you will remember the new singles he mentioned. The first one called Spell My Name, which is the official single from Odds & Evens (Album Dropping in October), and the other one called Smack Your Face, which is a single on the independent tip. Dj Revolution did the production on this one, and this track is simply amazing, a must check. I doubt there will be a cd single of this, but there are already vinyls available, make sure you get this. Click here to listen to Smack Your Face.

I wanna make a small correction from the last update. I posted the second remix of Trouble with Beanie Sigel and said he replaced Suga Free on the track. Nocturnal Disses Knocturnal
- July 1, 2002

You might have heard of the artist named Nocturnal from New Jersey from Newark/East orange Records. He was featured on Parrish Smiths solo album release, the Funkmaster flex Vol.2 album, on the The EPMD reunion album "Back in Business", and the DAS EFX album "Generation EFX".
There might be some people confused with the names, cause of the west coast Knoc-Turn'al and thats why Nocturnal and his managment spoke with Knoc's management on the situation, and they basically didnt care that they bit the name. Nocturnal had the name since 97. So Nocturnal did a Diss song and it will hit some mixtapes in the near future. They wanna let people know that Knocturnal is a ripoff. They say he took Snoops style and the artists name. Be sure to check back with us as we'll post that track very soon.
