John Singleton talked bout his new movie 'Baby Boy' and I read an interesting thing that he originally wanted Tupac for this role instead of Tyrese when he decided to make this movie. Tha last time John had the chance to talk to Pac was when he met him at the Crenshaw Mall where he was shooting the video for "To Live and Die in L.A.". He said "I've got the idea to the movie that we're gonna do! I got it! I got it!". He told him a little bit about it and 2Pac said, "I'm down." A few days later he went to Vegas and he was killed. Remember the Baby Boy movie opens next Wednesday, June 27.
Dr. Dolittle 2 will be in theatres soon too, the video for the theme song 'Do U Wanna Roll' by Snoop Dogg, Lil Kim, RL and produced by Battlecat will premier this week on TV. In case you havent heard it u can listen to the song here.

It has skits and exclusive rhymes over classic beats. There are only 500 Promo CD's being made. They got a track called "The Way Of The Gun" produced by Dr. Dre and its a masterpiece and like nothing else you hearin from the other obvious producers. Another track is "The Watcher Remix" by Dre feat. Hittman & Rakim. As far as production Battlecat & Mel-Man have laced some beats with a few bangers. Other peeps that will work with em in the near future are Jadakiss and producers like Alchemist, J.D. from Slum Village and D'Angelo .Visit the site for more infos, Ben Baller.com

It looks like we found a better server to upload our real audios (for free) and hopefully they dont get deleted anymore. Ill try to fix all the sections asap. I started to upload a few tracks to test it out and Im sure yall will like em. I got new shit and some unreleased as well:
» Kurupt - Can't Go Wrong feat. DJ Quik, Butch Cassidy [Download]
This song is featured on Space Boogie. On of my favourites. Nice beat, could be produced by DJ Quik. U can't hear Quik rap cause its only a short snippet. Space Boogie seems to be the shiznit cause theres really no song that I dont like.
» Jayo Felony - However Do You Want It feat. Snoop Dogg [Download]
Unreleased Jayo & Snoop remake from that classic 'However U Want It'.
» Kurupt - Hot Like Cajun feat. Da Kaperz [Download]
One of the few songs that Kurupt did with Da Kaperz. Definitely a headbanger.
» Kurupt - Behind The Walls (CD Q Remix) feat. Shyne, Nate Dogg [Download]
Yeah we finally found it. The good ole homie DPGCrip hooked it up, the Behind the walls remix in CD quality.
» Kurupt - Who Ride With Us [Nation Wide Remix] feat. Daz [Download]
[Prop to JamesBone, this is a pretty rare track. Its not the Part 2 or the remix. Its a new remix with the same beat and he give shout outs to some hoods]

The good ole Dr. Dre is makin moves. After the success with all his solo projects and the guest appearances he been doing lately, his left dream is to be a major Hollywood actor. We've told you that he has started filming his first major comedy movie called 'The Wash' together with Snoop Dogg. MTV talked with Dre about his forthcomin movie and his other projects. Read the interview below:

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg may play roommates who work at a car wash in the upcoming comedy "The Wash," but their blue-collar characters are a lot like the superstar rappers themselves.
The film's writer and director, D.J. Pooh ("Friday," "3 Strikes"), drew inspiration for the roles by observing Dre and Snoop during last year's Up in Smoke tour.

"He was watching the difference in our dressing rooms — Snoop's dressing room is always loud with a lot of people, and mine is pretty quiet, just me and my family kicking it," Dre said on the film's set last week. "He's like, 'This is perfect — it's the odd couple.' That's just how the movie is."

While fans may see some similarities between Dre and Snoop and their characters, "The Wash" will testify to their fun side rather than the tough-guy personas most people are familiar with, Snoop said.

"The comedy is just me. People don't know that, 'cause when you think of Snoop Dogg you automatically think gangsta rap, so you put your own image on it. But where I'm from, in the ghetto, we always crack jokes. ... We have fun."

The film, which features a cameo by Eminem, is tentatively slated to hit theaters October 12. Dre and Snoop said working with longtime friend Pooh has made the experience less daunting.

"Me and Pooh go so far back," Dre said, "that I can remember times when he used to pick me up and take me to the studio when I didn't have a car — back when we were working on Eazy-E and N.W.A records."

Though he stressed that making movies is a far cry from making music videos, Dre said he's getting so comfortable with acting that he's planning on spending more time in front of the camera.

"I've done some acting before, but I kind of sucked at it, if you want to be honest. I think I'm catching a knack for it. ... Before we started this movie, I was thinking about just doing this and going back to the studio. Now that I'm seeing that I could really be good at it, I'm gonna pursue it a little more."

But that doesn't mean Dre's studio projects are sidelined. In the coming months he plans to finish work on the debut album of his Aftermath imprint's female artist Truth Hurts and start recording veteran rapper Rakim's Oh My God. Dre won't start work on his own next solo album, which he said will be called Detox, until 2002.
He also has his hands in the score and soundtrack for "The Wash." Dre and Snoop originally planned to record the film's soundtrack as their reunion album, but the film's scheduled fall release made that goal unrealistic, Dre said. The two are now planning to record as many songs as possible together, with other artists filling out the rest of the soundtrack. Dont forget the Diablo soundtrack that will drop on Aftermath as well, mainly produced by Mel-Man & Dr. Dre due in 2002. Dre also hooked up with Shaq and Busta Rhymes for forthcoming projects.

Meanwhile, Snoop has put together the soundtrack for the film "Bones," in which he co-stars with Pam Grier. The soundtrack features tracks by D12, Cypress Hill and Snoop's Tha Eastsidaz.

"The movie has certain scenes that needed music, so I just went in there and designed whole songs instead of just giving them snippets," he said.

And finally, in other Snoop movie news, the rapper also has a role in this summer's John Singleton film "Baby Boy." Snoop and Tyrese, who play rivals in the flick, also co-star in the soundtrack's lead single "Just a Baby Boy."

A lot of peeps wondered about the Soopafly album that will come out on DPG Records. The release date is June 17th but we'll see if this sticks cause the 17th of June is a Sunday. New records usually drop on Tuesday but since its an Independent release expect it to be in stores the 17th. If u dont find it in stores, expect Daz sellin the album out of his car if you live in the Cali area...U never know so watch out...LOL
About the traccs that will be on it, word is that most of the traccs are from Death Row's Like It Or Not album. I guess tracks like Never Be Another ft. Richie Rich and Back 2 LA will finally see the light of day but they mite add some tracs as well. Dont worry about the Soopafly record on Doggystyle Records 'Willie Dynamite' cause that will still drop. Snoop got other projects coming out in the near future and Soopafly wouldnt come out for a while on Doggystyle.

Peep game I got some audio for yall. First I got the classic Hit The Floor (Daz Remix) by MC Eiht & Daz Dillinger. Lots of people got the short version that cuts of after 3 minutes but this is the complete 4:40. Thanx to my boy Dodgystyle for the hook up. The 2nd song is by Snoop Dogg, it s unreleased and some of yall mite know this. They played it on the Source website back in December for Snoops listenin party of Tha Last Meal but this cut didnt make the album, and the promo either, so heres your chance to download it...Snoop at the Source Lab...If u missed the classic G-Funk beatz on Tha Last Meal, here u got one. Tha last song is by Snoop as well and the homie Stevo hooked it up. Its a remasterd version of No Bacctraccin'. For the die hard fans that wanted to see this track on Tha last Meal, get a better quality version here, its a bit longer & louder. Thats it for today, yall peep our homies sites as well, the homies Nino & his crew got a bomb update and keep it ghetto as always so head over to Death Row Entertainment. Last but not least I wanna give a big shout out to my doggs DpGc2k, Southbound & soopaFLY and of course the whole crew at DPGC2000 for keepin the game real. And yeah, check the official Kurupt & Bad Azz sites cause they got 2 Movie Flashes that yall mite like..Ite Im out, Peace. Jermaine

DPG RECORDZ MAKIN MOVES: SOOPAFLY DROPPIN ALBUM IN 2 WEEKS & DAZ BLOWS IT UP
OMG I didnt trust my eyez when I read it but its true. This is So much news at one time, but so dope. I hit the official DPG Records website and it seems that they finally makin moves. The new Soopafly record is finally gonna drop, and not on Doggystyle Records like Snoop said, its gonna be released on DPG Recordz. This looks so fat, the release date is June 17th! Yeah thats right, thats in 2 weeks! The album features Big Snoop Dogg, Daz Dilli, Kurupt Young Gotti, Bad Azz, Tray Deee, Crooked I, Richie Rich, Gonzoe, Xzibit, and.....Lil' C-Style!!! Yes, I couldnt believe it but it seems that they got back together and they tight again! The album will be called 'Dat Whoopty Whoop' and the cover is on your right. This album could be one of the dopest records this year along with Space Boogie. Daz is the executive producer on Soopaflys new one and I suppose that Soopafly himself produced some tracks as well.

Hold tight, now comes the big thing: Daz is speakin on Death Row! I believe Daz himself wrote it and dissed Tha Row sooo baaad. This is what you can read on the DPG Site:

".....This site is under construction, but I can't have it up with out saying a word or three to ya'll, about them punk mutha fucas. Soon, you'll see a DR Killa page up for all of ya'll to view, so ya'll can know about them bitch ass niggas some of ya'll listen too. Talkin shit all on TV, at the same time, them same niggas is snitchin and hangin with the POLICE. Man, I aint givin them punk mutha fucas no props. Yea, ya'll know who they is, they them bitch ass niggas who claim they the *O#. So all my DPG lovin nigga's and bitch's out their, ya'll hang around for a couple we gone have some flicks, video's and gangsta shit for ya'll, right here!"

Whoa Daz speaks loud, now this shit could end up very bad. Its obvious that Daz & Death Row got major beef together. He said tha Death Row are hangin with the Police and since Snoop said that Suge paid some Police Officers to kill Pac this shit starts to make sense yall. They got a 'DPG Records Catalog' up on the site with some of their future releases. They got an upcoming Lil' C-Style record comin out, Tha Cryptz are comin out, they gonna release an album of a group called Long Beach - Tha Gang which consists of Big C Style, Lil Flossy and Daz himself. Lil Flossy gonna drop a solo album and Daz gonna drop a Best of 1992-2002 album as well as his 3rd solo album called 'This Is The Life I Lead' and of course the new DPG album 'Gangsta Shit' along with the movie. However, DPG Recordz is makin moves and got a lot of thingz comin out in the future, includin movies, books and soundtracks. Peep the official DPG Recordz wesite for all the info.

West Up,
Daz Dillinger and Showcase Magazine sat down together and talked about lots of things. The interview is quite interesting and they talkin bout upcoming projects from the DPG, on Snoop Dogg, on Jay- Z & more. Below is a part of it, thanx to LocoteG for the text. Its up in the June issue of Showcase Magazine. Yesterday we reported on the Jayo interview from Showcase, you can get it in the same issue. Peep:
Daz on going independent:
"Noone was tryna give me what I was worth. Nnobody would give me a deal mobody would fukk with me. I left LA with 300$ and a half OZ, hit the 5 freeway, did a couple verses with them ballin ass cats in the bay, came up on like 20-30,000 $ pressed it up. then I hooked up with JT the bigga and he was teachin me the game and we was gettin looted up.  I was like shit this is it rite here. Then i started with RAW then we did the daz/jt album the 2 we got out and then I had got with Kurupt and we was all wit it we startin small and makin it big just to show these major labels we could move it too. All these labels they wanna knock on the door but aint givin me what im gettin 10$ a unit im gettin all of it. I known jt for years. i came out there i had just gotten off death row and lived up in fillmore for like 5-6 months. we did the album (LB to fillmore) and dude came thru and looted us for like 20,000 units. so we hooked up and continued to do more shit...."

Daz on comin as DPG instead of Dogg Pound:
"cause thats in the death row days, we gonna come somethin new. we left that dogg pound shit, they can have that shit. they got a couple Dogg Pound records they gonna come out with. Its like outdated though. Then he talks about how he was the last original Death Row inmate to stay around and how he got "all mine" before leaving the Row and how hes starting DPG America to blow up like Local Independent acts starting in Texas.

Daz about upcoming projects:
"its this rock group mean peace, its that Limp Bizkit type stuff. im doin the 1st single with them called "We Gon' Ride". Imma put there shit all over mtv and get some of that  money too. I got clothing and all that other shit and i got chain stores opening up. We droppin Kurupts shit next. Its called Space Boogie: Smoke Odyssey. We got Limp bizkit, Jon b, me, Snoop. Just a whole buncha cats on there."

Daz on him and Snoop:
"it wasnt really nothin goin on, its just the fact that we was growin up. we hang out, we just dont do music right now cuz its business. We're workin on a DPGC album though. Thats me Kurupt, Nate, Snoop, all the people on Dogghouse and all my people it took so long 4 another Dogg Pound album . We had to get our business straight. I didnt want to do no more Records on Death Row cuz they aint rite, naw mean? fuckin with the devil will get u burnt. we got our own shit now, everybodys off the label we can do whatever the fukk we wanna do.."

Daz on hookin up with Jay Z:
"it was like a gift from god man. It was like a real tough time for me and hova allways seems to come just like he did for UGK. I gotta call Jay. "Jay z wanna do a song with u". We went and did the song and we just kept the relationship, I got the whole shit on tape so im sellin tapes of it independently it will be a Daz Record on DPG/Roc a Fella cuz we both independent. He gonna come with the best from the east and imma come with the best from the west and put it together on one album. We gonna get this money. Imma have the tightest muthafukin beats in the world on that muthafucka. Imma also doin an album with Luke called 'Work 4 that Money' and I gotta movie comin with it too (about a stripper). I gotta whole bunch of shit. I got that one with S noop and them and i know i got some extra money in the future when we do this dr dre, snoop dogg, and the dogg pound and everybody else album. Thats in the future when everybody get over they  little struggles and doin they thing. I just know that one day imma get that money"

Kurupts official website is now online. They did a pretty good job and set up a very well designed site with dope new audio from his hottt new album "Space Boogie - Smoke Odyssey". They got the following tracks:

»
Kurupt - Hardest Motha Fuckas feat. Nate Dogg, MC Ren, Xzibit
» Kurupt - Its Over Now feat. Natina Reed
» Kurupt - Space Boogie featuring Nate Dogg
»
Kurupt - Kuruption feat. Everlast

Its Over Now is gonna be the first single & video. Heres the info on the music video:
On May 23, Kurupt filmed the video for "It's Over," the first single off his off his upcoming album in LA. Directed by Charles Infante the video features appearances from Natina Reed of Blaque and Snoop Dogg. The video's storyline uses the look of classic movies like "Grease" and "American Graffiti," but filmed in an urban setting . It stars real-life couple Kurupt and Natina who almost play themselves in this tale of good girl meets bad boy or in this case gangsta rap meets popular music proving that the both can coexist. Buy 'Its Over Now' here.

Anyways peep the website. They got news, bio, dope pics and tour info. Dont sleep on it. Kurupt-Online
