thug lordz       The Thug Lordz project by Yukmouth & C-Bo entitled "In Thugz We Trust" was supposed to come out today, but it looks like it may not drop everywhere at this time due to a seize and desist order. Several retail & online stores have it, but some have it backordered but you can order it here online. Its a pretty good album, Yuk & Bo did their thang on this one. Guest appearances come from Spice 1, Killa Tay, Bang'em Smurf, and Eastwood. Producers include Bosko, E-A-Ski, Rhythm D, Mo Betta, and Mark Sparks.        The Westside Connection are goin on a 1 month tour supporting their latest album "Terrorist Threats" which begins April 28 in La Jolla, California. Prior to the tour's launch, the group will shoot a video April 10 and 11 for their new single "So Many Rappers in Love". "Terrorist Threats" has sold more than 679,000 copies, according to SoundScan.

       According to SoHH.com sources, the May issue of XXL magazine reports that Dr. Dre has decided to abandon work on his highly anticipated final LP "Detox" and he is no longer planning to release the LP. Apparently, the good doctor has given up the project that was heralded as "the most musically advanced Hip-Hop album ever" by fellow co-producers including Scott Storch.

The new XXL mag, which hits stores in early April, has Dr. Dre, Busta Rhymes and The Game on the cover.

       Inglewood's Finest, The Relativez are in the studio putting the final touches on their new album "Money Respect Money". This is the follow up to their 2001 album "The Takeover".

Keeping true with the last record, they enlisted long-time collaborator Rashad "Big Rush" Coes to handle the albums production with Scott Storch, and Aftermath's Dj Khalil & Focus contributing tracks.

The first single, produced by Big Rush, is titled "Summertime" and features Butch Cassidy. A record perfect for the California season!

Other features to look out for on this album are Dave Hollister, Too Short, Krayzie Bone, Gangsta (from Tha Comrades), Black Rose & Fran'cci.

The group has signed with Los Angeles based Ball'R Records and have stepped their game up tremendously with the new album.

paper 03/02/04 | Conway Correction / New Song Up

       The new "Nutcracka" song by Conway which we posted the other day was actually produced by J.R. - based out of L.A., and not Dre. But J.R. and Conway are working with Dre and Denaun Porter (Kon Artis) these days in L.A. thats why radio stations labeled them as Dre productions to get more attention (which seemed to work). Anyway, here is the other Conway track called "Struggle" also produced by J.R., another heatrock right there. Thanks to Alon for the correction and sorry about the mix up.

       The new Strong Arm Steady DVD came out today so make sure you pick this up. Its a good introduction to the Steady gang - all uncut. Read our review for a complete write up on the DVD, you'll find a link to order it online.
Also, Hi-C's new album "The Hi-Life Hustle" which was supposed to come out next Tuesday, March 9th (on Rap-A-Lot), has been delayed to March 23. San Quinn "I Give You My Word" to March 16, and Bad Azz "Executive Decision" to May 11,
