Whats
cracckin shortys, we got some hot news for yall. Yesss...
Jayo Felony is in the news again and this time homie is
frontin again. Showcase Magazine had an interview with
Jayo and he's talkin shit again about Jay Z, Snoop and...Daz
& Kurupt!! To get the full interview buy the latest
issue of Showcase Mag. Below is a part of the interview
and Id like to thank LocoteG for this info.
"Regarding
the Jay-Z song where he says 'I wear more bling to the
source and soul train and niggas wont do a Thang' and
'is he a blood or a crip' its like hes dissin the west
cuz the events were on the west and he is on some is
he a blood or a crip...shit he aint got nothin to do
with that shit. Its just a point of muthafuckas keepin
it real. I aint had no gripes with dude or nuthin like
that but it forced me to push my hand. I was cool to
this point. I got no problems with Meth and Red cuz
they aint makin no subliminal disses. That nigga Jay-Z
on some 'Is he a Blood or a Crip' shit knowin u aint
never banged a day in your life. That shit aint cool
homie. If he just played it cool, makin his records
we prolly would have been makin records together in
a minute. I know them muthafukas was tryna to beg Def
Jam to let me sign to Roc but its like I dont give a
fuck homie. I was cool with them cats but I'm like damn
man U just cant say anything out your mouth homie. Its
gotta be some respect factor in the Hip Hop Comunity
to keep the Peace. Cant be sayin subliminal funny shit.
Then all these niggaz in lowridaz and dressin funny
with shirts off and rags on they head. Tryin to commercialise
the West Coast way of life. Niggaz wearin Rhinestone
rags on they Heads. I dont know what part of tha game
that is man. Thats some fruity shit homie, tryna run
with a muthafuccaz lifestyle and make it commercial
and I feel like Im the only Mothafucka that was really
gonna address cause everyone else is on some Dickrydin
shit. And the niggaz that would address it dont have
the outlet to get heard. With the Henchman I got love
from the East and the West and thats what Jay Z feared.
He tried to pull the songs off the compilation. You
cant hide no dope record. If people gonna feel it you
cant stop them from feelin it. Instead of tryna pull
the song he should have been on some 'Imma go and serve
this nigga on some music' shit. We coulda kept it on
some music shit but when you try and tell the (Rap)
police on a muthafuka its a whole other story so I feel
he done lost the battle already no matter what song
he makes. Cause he tried to pull my shit and it didnt
go down like that."
Wooo, Jayo bringin some Heat to the game...Later
in this interview he goes on and says why he left Def
Jam (cause they wouldnt release his shit or promote
it right). He felt he could sell as much as DMX or Method
Man and says they should have released his album (Hotter
Than Fish Grease) right after the Got Beef single. Then
he goes on:
"I got my own shit comin out. Its called LOCO
Records and get my shit out there how its supposed to
be. The name of the album is "Crip Hop" which was originated
on my dog E-40's Baskettball Court when I said "Fuck
Hip Hop, this is Crip Hop" and muthafuckaz (=Snoop)
is tryna bite Crip Hop from me but it will all come
to light cause the streets aint gonna allow that shit.
They gonna be like 'Oooh, these niggas is bitin Jayo
Felony's shit' (sure..) so its gonna bring they fans
to me, the little fans they got left. They say its the
biggest form of flattery, just Im really not that flattered."
But
hold up, the interesting part is below.. In the new
Issue of XXL they got an interview with Jayo Felony
as well and he speaks about Daz & Kurupt and tells
people his opinion. Below is the most interesting part
of it, but go cop the issue to get the full thing:
Jayo:
Jay-Z is gonna try and get Kurupt and Daz on the Record
like that's gonna make it cool, but you already dissed
us. Them niggas is stupid (Kurupt and Daz) cause they
dont know whats going on.
XXL: So you feel Kurupt and Daz was jumping in
some shit they wasnt too knowledgeable on?
Jayo: Yeah, I feel they was just getting on a
Remix. They aint really tripping on the beef with me
and Jigga cause before that they aint know it was gonna
be one. But I feel like if anybody steps in my way as
far as serving Roc-A-Fella and they whole camp, Kurupt
and Daz or whoever, they gonna get stepped on some kind
of way. If you make a record with them do your thang.
But if you get in my way, Imma destroy you.
Right
right, you remember my lil bro DpGc2k reportin about
Knoc Turn'al the other day and I think in the meantime
everybody should have the brand new song that features
Dr. Dre. If u havent listened, head over to the Playaz
Club and check it out, its soo hot. The song is on the
new 5-track Promo and I think #rev ripped it. My homie
Jedi was able to get it for me so props to the young
g. Knoc's album will come out later this year on L.A.
Confidential Records. Below is the promo tracklist and
a track to listen to. I picked my favorite and it features
the good ole Jayo Felony, Butch Cassidy & Slip Capone.
Its called 'Lets All Roll' and its produced by the homie
Fred Wreck.

The 'I Luv It' Video has been shot and should show up
on TV very soon. It was shot in Santa Ana which is pretty
close to Long Beach. The setting is a football game
with the Dogghouse Clique (Nate Dogg, Warren G, Kokane,
Soopafly, Butch Cassidy, Pimpin Young, Battlecat and
of course Tha Eastsidaz). CNN was reportin about Long
Beach early yesterday and they said its the home town
to rap legend Snoop Dogg & Warren G and they interviewed
them on the set of the new Eastsidaz video (I Luv It).
Snoop said that he doesn't like the negativity the media
says about LBC and he is a shining example of a person
that grew up in Long Beach and he says he is more comfortable
shooting his video's at home so he can see all his friends
and family and they can be in the video too. Thanx to
Tizerri & Toronto Gangsta for this info.
Julio G's website West
Side Radio put up 2 new videos. As for now they
got a few vidz up and they recently added the new Liks
video "The Best U Can" from their forthcoming
album "X.O. Experience" droppin
July 10th. The other video is from The Outlawz' 2nd
single "Thug With Me". Thats about it, I gotta
bounce. Jermaine

I
picked the following news from Launch.com. I know we reported
about this shit several times but it wanna bring this
up again. Launch reported on the fight between Jayo &
Snoop at the Baby Boy movie shooting. Looks like this
rumors are true. NEways, read below and peep what Jayo
had to say:
San Diego-based rapper Jayo Felony, who ripped into Jay-Z
with his song "True'd Up," was recently involved
in a scuffle with rapper Snoop Dogg on the set of John
Singleton's new movie, Baby Boy. Snoop Dogg appears in
the movie, which also stars Tyrese and Ving Rhames. According
to insiders, Felony wasn't happy with Snoop Dogg's continued
usage of the term "Crip Hop," a phrase coined
by Felony, which is also the title to his upcoming album
due out later this summer. Felony recently explained to
the New York Post's Page Six that he is tired of rappers
mentioning gangs in their rhymes. Felony was taken aback
when Jay-Z rhymed that people wonder whether he's blood
or crip on his recent release, "Change The Game."
Felony elaborated, "He ain't never gangbanged a day
in his life. I'm tired of these n--gas playing with the
gangsta stuff. I've been banging since I was 11, 12 years
old and I'm sick of these n--gas making these funny-ass
statements."
I was checkin the Billboard charts and peeped the Independent Album
charts and saw tha Dillinger & Young Gotti is at
number 2 in their 2nd week in charts! This is pretty
good, last week they were at # 3. We'll see if they
can make it to the top. In other Billboard news, the
Up In Smoke DVD is still at number 4 in the music video
charts after being in charts for more than 6 months!
Lets get in2 some audios:
This song right here is very rare. The original Big
Pimpin was on the Above the Rim Stdk which we all know
but this version has different lyrics and different
backround vocals..Its a radio rip and therefore edited.
Its pretty tight but I only put up this bad quality
version. Peep it

This
next song is brand new and from the 5 Footaz album 'Lifetime'.
They added some tracks like Bad Azz did for his new

Fingaz. Its called 'Unleash' and hot as fuck. I didnt
put up the full song because...yanno..if you want to
get the full song buy the new 5 Footaz album along with

The
third and last song is by late rapper 2Pac. Its the
Battlecat remix to Temptations and I think it was on
the Temptations CD single. I think every true 2Pac fan
got this song but to the people who dont have it, this
is the chance.

It
seems that ThaRow.com website got a new diss aimed at
Bigg Snoop Dogg. They callin him a 'fake' 'liar' and
'snitch'. This is what the wrote: "Informant
Doggy Dogg, in efforts to avoid a minor marijuana charge
at a concert the bitch ass route of offering lies in
hopes of avoiding the minor charge, as reported by a
local LA news cast". U can watch a fake video
clip from the LA news cast and read that SNoop told

Soon to be free Death Row Records CEO Marion "Suge"
Knight has released a statement in response to this
month's bombshell 18-page article in Rolling Stone that
connects the Los Angeles Police Department scandal with
Knight, Death Row Records, Death Row attorney David
Kenner and the unsolved murders of Tupac Shakur and
the Notorious B.I.G. The article piggybacked a recent
PBS special on the scandal entitled "LAPD Blues"
that illustrated many of the same connections. Knight,
who is expected to be released from an Oregon halfway
house later this summer and be back at work at Death
Row by August, has released the following statement:
"Mr. Knight is completing an analysis of the Rolling
Stone magazine article and statements made in the article
to the writer Randall Sullivan by ex-Los Angeles Police
officer Russell Poole regarding Mr. Knight and the LAPD's
Rampart Division, in order to ascertain any lawful and
legal remedies that may be available to him in this
matter. Mr. Knight, Mr. Kenner, and Mr. Wright (owner
of Wrightway Protective Services) will review the article
with their attorneys, David Chesnoff and Donald Re,
to point out the many inaccuracies contained therein.
The allegations in the article are denied as ridiculous
and absurd. It should be noted that the Chief of the
LAPD, Bernard Parks, was recently quoted as believing
the Rampart case has been exploited by the media and
police critics, and is being 'distorted beyond all proportion,'
and also that according to Chief Parks, 'Officer Poole
had some theories that could not be substantiated. He
only brought it up when he left the department and after
he had been personally disciplined and removed from
the task force." The Rolling Stone article alleges
that Knight orchestrated the murders of both the Notorious
B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur and had three corrupt LAPD officers
(who like Knight, were allegedly members of the Bloods
gang) working closely with him.
May

Im
bacc again in dat azz for the 2nd time today. I had
to bring this shit up since its quite interesting. Please
read the whole thing. I picked it straight from manhunt.com:
New
facts, clues and evidence regarding the murders of Biggie
Smalls and Tupac Shakur are to be revealed in the new
edition of Rolling Stone, in an 18 page article in which
retired LAPD detective Russell Poole, who was the chief
investigator of the Notorious B.I.G. murder, talks extensively
about the case.
During the article it as claimed that rapper Snoop Dogg
said Death Row Records boss Marion "Suge"
Knight had Tupac killed. Also, more shockingly, it is
revealed that several LAPD officers were also involved
with Suge, Death Row, and alledgedly, both murders.
Poole made extensive investigations into the murders,
and repeatedly came up against Police blocks, and was
eventually transferred to another case to keep him away
from what he believes to be the truth. He says the reason
is simple:
"What kind of wrongful-death lawsuit do you think
Smalls' wife and mother would have had if it could be
proven that LAPD officers were responsible for the murder?"
Poole retired from the LAPD as a direct result of his
treatment during his investigations and the cover up
of his case. He is now in the process of filing a lawsuit
against the LAPD for violating his First Amendment right
by not allowing him to go public with his findings,
suggesting that LAPD officers were involved in criminal
activity. Go here for a full story.

After
we premiered a few cuts from the new Eastsidaz album
first, we got 2 more exclusives from the Dogghouse
family. We reported a few weeks ago that Snoop Dogg
& Doggys Angels will appear on the 'What's the Worst
That Could Happen' Soundtrack. Well I was able to get
my hands on those 2 tracks. The Snoop Dogg song is called
'What They Say', but this is not a new song. Snoop premiered
it 2 years ago on his 'Big Snoop Dogg Radio' on Power
106. He said that the song will be on Tha Last Meal
so u can call it a Last Meal leftover. The original
song was called 'How Im Livin' and it sounds a lot like
'Issues'. Snoop recorded the song again and changed
the lyrics. He gives shout outs to some of the peeps
he's down with and its a real good song. The second
song is by Doggys Angels and its called 'Shoot Em Up'.
Whooo... what should I say about this. This song is
blazin and Im bumpin this since I heard it for the first
time. Of course Snoop is in the song too to let people
know that he's down with his .Angelz
Other guests on the soundtrack album are Craig Mack,
Cha Cha, Erick Sermon, Marvin Gaye, Superfriendz &
many more. Click here to buy the album, it will come out next Tuesday.

Snoop's
3rd single from his current solo album "Tha Last
Meal" is called 'Loosen Control' and it features
Soopafly & Butch Cassidy and will come out in a
few days. The video shooting is over and its set to
air sometimes in May. Click here to see the CD cover of the single. The B-Side on
the vinyl is 'Hennesey & Buddah" and it has
an explicit version, clean & the instrumental for
both songs. It also has an extra song, 'Issues' with
explicit version & the instrumental. Remember that
the first single from the new Eastsidaz album 'ILuvIt'
dropped last tuesday. You can order it here and click here to see this CD cover or here for the vinyl.
Inglewood's finest group Allfrumthai is back with their
new album titled "Uncut" which is coming out June 26th on Dedal Records.
It features MC Eiht, Bad Azz, Techniec, Madam Brown,
Tha Comrads, Boo Capone, the Roaddawgs & more. The

This
here is another new DVD produced by Fortress Entertainment
and its all about Kurupt. This upcoming DVD production
began in Los Angeles this week. Producers say that the
biggest challenge is working into his hectic schedule.
With the upcoming release of his album Space Boogie,
and his current starring roles in three movies, including
one with Kurt Russell, he has little time to do anything
else. However the camera crew has spent their days following
him around and getting good coverage of his life and
special moments for the DVD.
Speaking of Kurupt, MTV.com made an Interview with him and put up
the article. Its very interesting and worth checkin
out, he talks about Foxy Brown, the beef, his forthcoming
projects, the DPGC and more. U can read it here.
Ive also added some old interviews, 2 by Nate Dogg,

and Darren Vegas.
Bad
news for rap star KAM...Last Thursday [May 17th] he
was denied a scheduled performance at an Pasadena night
club called Club Muse, which is promoted heavily on
Power 106.. Apparently the city of Pasadena contacted
the club and threatened to shut down the night club
if they let KAM perform.. The reason behind the crack
down is they feel KAM is anti-white. Whoa. Thats all
for now and keep your airs open for some hot shit.

Oh
My God! Nate Dogg is at it again! Once again he dropped
some heat on his brand new song together with Shade
Sheist. After last years hit anthem Where I Wanna Be
he got back to the studio with Shade to record the song
"Cali Diseaz". The song will be featured on
Murder Inc/Def Jam's new soundtrack to the movie "The
Fast And The Furious" starring Ja Rule. Scarface
is also featured on the soundtrack along with Ja Rule,
Fat Joe, Faith Evans, R Kelly, Limp Bizkit & DMX,
Lil Mo & more. It will come out on June 12. This
song is pretty tight and very laid back. Download it

know the title but I believe its called "Freak

recorded again and it has a new Intro with Goldie Loc

a fade out. U should definatley check it out. Remember

MEL-MAN
& DR DRE FUTURE WORKS
I picked this from ThaFormula.com (thanx to IndoSmoke
as well):
Mel-Man gave them (Formula) last night the latest on
what has been going on with the Aftermath camp. Mel
and Dre just completed work on three tracks with Busta
Rhymes which are tentatively scheduled to be included
on Busta's new album. Aftermath is also readying a mad
amount of releases for this summer. Mel didn't drop
any specifics, but he said that a lot of artists have
been stepping up and putting out some nice shit so they
are going to have step up and run the summer. So expect
some of that next shit on production from Dre and Mel.
They will have an exclusive interview with Mel in the
near future.
HARRY
O DISCUSSES WELCOME TO DEATH ROW SOUNDTRACK
Former
Los Angeles drug kingpin Michael Harris (a.k.a. Harry
O) is figured prominently in the documentary for his
alleged role in the formation of Death Row Records,
and his wife, Lydia Harris, served as an executive producer
of the film. Harris is currently serving time in a California
prison, but in an jailhouse interview over the telephone,
Harris spoke about the films soundtrack, entitled Married
to the Game.
"The soundtrack captures not just the Welcome to
Death Row story, but also artists struggles within the
music industry," explained Harris, adding that
artists confirmed for the project so far includes Wyclef
Jean, Tha Eastsidaz, Warren G, producer Battlecat and
former Death Row singer Jewell, who is featured in the
documentary. Lydia Harris appears on the soundtrack's
lead single, "Married to the Game," which
she also produced. A new group of former inmates entitled
Jailhouse G's also appear on the soundtrack.
Harris added that several record label heads (not A&Rs,
but actual heads) see the huge potential in the Welcome
to Death Row soundtrack and have actually met with him
in prison to discuss possible distribution deals. Harris
said that its still in negotiations with several labels
and that more artists will be added to the soundtrack's
lineup.
"No soundtrack has captured a story so well,"
said Harris. "This is real life. As real as it
gets. It's Shakespeare at his best." Married to
the Game is expected to hit record stores sometime in
late August. Harris said that a pay-per-view concert
will coincide with the soundtrack that same month, and
a video for the making of the soundtrack will also be
released.
DJ
QUIK & TALIB KWELI HOOK UP
DJ Quik is hard at work on his follow up to 2000's platinum
release, "Balance & Options." The as-yet-untitled
album will feature guest appearances from a variety
of artists. Recently, Quik finished recording a song
with Reflection Eternal member Talib Kweli. The song,
titled "7:30" was produced by Quik.
"First of all, he is very humble and well mannered"
Quik said. Quik who has worked with a variety of artists
over his lengthy career, was very impressed with Kweli's
writing skills. "He writes quality shit just as
fast as 2Pac used to. I look forward to making more
music with him." There is no release date slated
for Quik's new album, but confirmed artists to appear
include Talib Kweli, AMG and Hi-C.

JAYO/
SNOOP BEEF CONFIRMED, DEATH ROW TO RELEASE THA DOGG
POUND 2002
Apparently
Suge Knight is digging Jayo Felony's brash style. On
the Death Row Records Web site, Jayo is given an open
invitation to join them. A source close to Jayo confirmed
that the rapper has been in discussions with Suge, but
Death Row publicist Jonathan Wolfson said he's unaware
of any negotiations that would bring Jayo to the label.
However, Jayo will be featured dissing Snoop Dogg on
the label's July 31 release of Tha Dogg Pound 2002,
Wolfson said. The album is a collection of songs that
Dogg Pound members Daz and Kurupt recorded while still
with Death Row.
"I don't know nothin' about that," Daz said.
"More power to them. I'm 'a get paid off it. I
got a deal when I left that I walked with all [my masters].
They could put it out, but I still get all mine. I want
to hear what he got."
Daz
and Kurupt, who were legally obligated to change their
name to the D.P.G. when they left Death Row, released
Dillinger & Young Gotti on May 1. Daz, who is in
the final stages of his own contract negotiations with
Roc-a-Fella Records, said he isn't worried about the
old album competing with the new one.
"[Death
Row putting out an album will] probably make both of
them sell. Everybody already knows what Death Row does
because of what happened with Snoop. I'm just gonna
ride off their promotion. [Suge's] probably gonna put
out a bunch of remixes. He ain't got nothing else. If
a bum has a piece of something in the trash, he's gonna
make it last. He messed up and lost a good thing. But
for now we got this new D.P.G. album out there."
Wolfson
said that on Tuesday Death Row will release the long-talked-about
reissues of its entire catalog, which includes Snoop
Dogg's Doggystyle, Dr. Dre's The Chronic, Tupac Shakur's
Makaveli and Tha Dogg Pound's debut, Dogg Food. The
label also plans to put out a Tupac double CD of unreleased
songs later this year, he said.

After supplying gangster-fied tracks for such heavy
West Coast hitters as Snoop Dogg and Kurupt, producer
Fredwreck is prepping for the release of his own record,
tentatively titled The Atoms. The album will
arrive in stores courtesy of Snoop's Dogghouse Records
in either October or November.
Like a mad scientist, the Los Angeles-based producer
wants to experiment with a variety of subjects to make
this album as distinctive as possible. His wishlist
of artists he'd like to work with includes Everlast,
Orgy and Perry Farrell.
"I want to have all different elements on there,"
he said. "I want to have rock and roll sh-- on
there, something with Limp Bizkit."
The majority of the album, however, will feature such
usual suspects as Snoop, Tha Eastsidaz, Kurupt, Daz,
Cypress Hill, Xzibit, Defari and Dr. Dre. "I want
to branch out and go to the East Coast and try to f---
with some of the cats out there," he said. "But
I don't know who yet."
One thing is for sure, though. Fredwreck, who is known
for funk-drenched, g'd up beats, will be introducing
a new sound with his album. "I like electronic
sh-- a lot, and I'm into all of the old synthesizers,"
he said. "I'm going to try to bring some of that
into the sound of the album. It's going to be a lot
of live playing."
The Flint, Michigan, native learned to love music because
of his father, who played guitar at parties held at
his family's house. A young Fredwreck noticed how much
everyone was enjoying themselves at the fiestas and
decided that he would try his own hand at music.
He started DJing at high school parties and began buying
records, tons of them. But Fredwreck, 28, remembers
a time when hip-hop wasn't as prominent. "When
you go to the record store now, there are probably 500
rap albums, CDs to buy," he said. "Back when
I started, there were probably like five."
When his family relocated to the San Francisco Bay area,
Fredwreck honed his DJ skills, eventually landing a
DJ gig on local hip-hop station KMEL as part of the
Wake-Up Show. Most of the station's talent eventually
relocated to 92.3 the Beat (now 100.3 the Beat) in Los
Angeles, a move Fredwreck made in 1991.
Almost instantly, Fredwreck noticed a difference between
the California markets. "Up there [in the Bay]
you could do beats and remixes and play them on the
air, but not too many people are going to hear them,"
he said. "If I do a remix of Ice Cube's sh-- over
here, he's going to hear it and be like, 'Who did that
sh--?' If [an artist] comes up to the station, I can
slide them a beat tape."
Growing up listening to N.W.A, Eazy-E, Ice Cube, King
Tee, Ice-T, Roger & Zapp and Parliament would soon
pay off, as Fredwreck started bonding with many Los
Angeles-based hip-hop acts who shared his musical tastes.
With an impressive recording resume, Fredwreck says
his work on Kurupt's 1999 album, Tha Streetz Iz a Mutha,
is his favorite.
"It was a vibe of everybody being in the studio
at the same time," he said. "I didn't get
to live through the Death Row era of production, having
Dr. Dre and Daz there. That work was like my little
window into it. It was the best environment to work.
I was in there making the beat and Kurupt and Snoop
were in there writing. That was really cool."
Peep todays audio below:
This first song is by Kurupt featuring Jewell. Its called
I Dont Bang No More and its very rare. its bad quality
but a tight joint, a must for all the DPG fans, original
Death Row laid back sound from back in the dayz.

You
might have heard the bad news that Julio G got fired
from The Beat. Well, if you havent yet, peep the full
story below:
Bad news for Hip Hop fans in LA. Long time fixture and
Hip Hop pioneer Julio G has been given the ax at KKBT
The Beat. For those who are familiar with Julio, it
comes as a total shock and disappointment. Julio's roots
go way back to LA early Hip Hop days when the legendary
radio station KDAY was around. He was an original member
of the famed mixmasters crew which included Joe Cooley
and Tony G. KDAY of course was the country's first Hip
Hop oriented rap station. Julio's on air presence was
a reminder to all of just how deep rooted LA's Hip Hop
scene was. He had a strong connection with many of the
area's artists and was well respected. He had also come
a long ways since his first days on air when he was
a bit nervous and unsure of himself. Over time he developed
into a seasoned professional who conducted some of the
best on air interviews around. I like to call his the
Tavis Smily of Hip Hop because of his ability to engage
both the artists and the audience with his interviews.
Over the past few years Julio has made his mark with
his Westside Radio program which was initially started
by his longtime friend the late Eazy E. The firing of
Julio G is just the latest in a series of moves made
by the Beat since it changed owners last fall- While
many have been proud of the accomplishments of Black
owned Radio One, many are troubled by the fact that
it has let go some of the country's most stellar Hip
Hop shows and personalities. The Beat let the Baka Boys
go, The Wake Up Show and now Julio G. What gives???
Inquiring minds wanna know? As for now folks can catch
up with Julio over at http://www.westsideradio.com

are actually 2 versions of High Come Down. Thers the

a promo. The album version is different cuz Nate drops
the first verse, but the lyrics are the same. Also another

from his new album will be "Its Over" feat.
Natina Reed of Blaque (you can find this song on this

time until May 15th, but expect it to be delayed again.

As the homie bpg_snoopdogg over at SnoopsDoggpound reported
yesterday, Bigg Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre will star in
a comedy movie called The Wash, written and directed
by D.J. Pooh. According to the film company, Snoop and
Dre will be "Odd Couple"-like roommates who
have an affiliation to a busy car wash. Eminem will
make a cameo appearance in the film too. DJ Pooh's Lithium
Entertainment will produce the movie, which begins production
on May 7, in conjunction with Lion's Gate. The soundtrack
will be released on both Aftermath & Doggystyle
Records. And while "The Wash" won't hit theaters
for quite some time, fans can catch Snoop on the silver
screen when John Singleton's "Baby Boy" hits
theaters June 27. Although Snoop and Tyrese are bitter
rivals in the flick, the two are doing nothing but spreading
California Love on the soundtrack's lead single, "Just
a Baby Boy." Featuring newcomer Mr. Tan, the Battlecat-produced
G-Funk-laced track tells the story of boyz in the hood
that have to deal with, among other things, baby mama
drama and gunfights in the streets. The "Baby Boy"
soundtrack arrives in stores June 12. Listen to the
full song of Just A Baby Boy below. Speaking of the
Top D-O-G, he also just wrapped production in Hawaii
on the video for "Loosen' Control" featuring
Soopafly & Butch Cassidy which is set to air sometime
in May. The clip for "Just a Baby Boy" is
scheduled to air in May as well. You can order the single

Warren G returns as the multi platinum rapper signs
with Universal Records!
Universal Records has signed multi-platinum rapper Warren
G to a new exclusive recording agreement. The Los Angeles
based artist, who first hit the scene in 1994 with the
release of his debut album Regulate and its chart-topping
title track, says his Universal debut will make a return
to the melodic G-Funk style that first brought him success.
A bevy of talent including legendary funkster George
Clinton, Warren’s half-brother Dr. Dre, Snoop
Dogg, Eminem, Nate Dogg, Butch Cassidy, Daz and Kurupt
- is lined up to guest on his Universal debut. While
the rapper will produce most of the album tracks, other
guest producers like Scott Storc, Jason "Jay-E"
Epperson, Dr. Dre and Battlecat are set to contribute
to the disc. Fans are familiar with Warren G not only
as a chart-topping rapper, but also as an influential
producer and artist who helped shape and define West
Coast hip-hop. Warren is credited with introducing his
long-time friend Snoop Dogg to super-producer/rapper
Dr. Dre, and with helping Dre form his seminal West
Coast talent and production posse, The Dogg Pound. An
accomplished producer himself, Warren was the creative
genius behind Mr. Grimm’s mega-hit single "Indo
Smoke," which appeared on the Poetic Justice soundtrack.
He also produced numerous 2Pac tracks including the
hit "Definition Of A Thug" from the Above
The Rim soundtrack. Warren G has spent the last two
years expanding his career and being active in and around
the Los Angeles Community. He has appeared in sitcom
roles on TV’s The Parenthood and Clueless, and
he has stayed busy supporting community endeavors such
as a proposed teen center in Long Beach, CA, and giving
free performances and making guest appearances at community
events. Nice to hear Warren G to come out with some
new shit!
I
was told to put this info up for all the Ruthless &
Eazy E fans. Below is a link to a Eazy E petition. This
is a petition to release material from the late rapper
Eric "Eazy-E" Wright. There are millions of
Eazy fans around the world and this is directed towards
Tomika Wright, the CEO of Ruthless Records, in an attempt
to get the material released. There are known unreleased
tracks from Eazy-E belonging to Ruthless Records, Priority
Records, Relativity Records and producers who have worked
with Eazy in the past. By signing this petition, you
are asking for a new album by the Compton native Eazy-E.
Click here to sign the petition.
I was looking on CDnow.com and found a new release under
Dr. Dre. On May 29 Chrome Dreams will release a spoken
audio biography of the great doctor. If this doesnt
come from Dre, I bet this is just somebody whos trying
to make funny off Dre's name, something like the Snoop
Dogg Start Profile, which was interesting though. Click here to order this biography cd.
Last but not least I have a very nice song for all the
DPG fans. Its an unreleased song by Kurupt & Roscoe.
Its called "#1 Stunna - The Felli Fel Theme".
This is the theme song of the Felli Fel show on Power
106. I really dig this song and y'all true DPG fans
need to check this song, its worth.
