| Official Report About Tray Deee Arrest
Tray Deee remains in a Long Beach jail after being arrested Friday
night for allegedly shooting at a small group of people outside a grocery and
drug store in Long Beach. No one was injured in the incident. Tray
Deee, whose real name is Tray Muhammad, is being held on $151,000 bail on five
felony and misdemeanor charges including assault with a deadly weapon, driving
a stolen vehicle and presenting false identification to a police officer. According
to witness reports given to police, Muhammad, 37, was engaged in a confrontation
with the group and, after an exchange of words, Muhammad pulled a gun from the
glove compartment of the vehicle, which turned out to be stolen, and fired at
the group before leaving. He was picked up at a home in nearby Fontana and a search
yielded a rifle and a 9 mm pistol. Muhammad
is expected to be arraigned in a Long Beach courthouse on Wednesday unless he
posts bail, in which case another arraignment date will be set. Recently,
Muhammad made claims against his former mentor, Snoop Dogg, saying that the superstar
rapper had failed to pay Tha Eastsidaz back royalties on their two albums released
in 2000 and 2001. Snoop's spokespeople did not return calls for comment by press
time. >

Snoop Dogg's deep into a couple of his music projects, most notably
the long-awaited debut from 213. Snoop said the trio's album, tentatively titled
"The Hard Way", will be released December 16, although a spokesperson
for the label said it was pushed back to 2004. The first single, according to
Snoop, is called "Find
A Way". "We're
trying to get the video together for it right now. We're going to put a movie
together for it also. We just trying to make sure it all comes together fly 'cause
this is a dream project for me. We got a record right now that's blowing up all
over the world, called 'Fly,' off the mixtape Welcome to Chuuch Vol. 2. Just trying
to give the people a little something. I do records for the streets all the time."
Snoop said. 213
are working with the Neptunes and frequent collaborators Battlecat, Jelly Roll
and Hi-Tek, but no guest rappers. "We felt like this was our
first record that the whole world was able to hear from us, so we wanted to make
it more or less be about us," Snoop said. After
the 213 album, Snoop Dogg hopes to drop his next solo project, "Snoopafly",
in June.
"I already got a lot of songs done that's gonna be on that album. I just
know it's going to be a great record. I'm lookin' forward to working with my main
man Puff Daddy. I'm going to let Puff do some things. Hopefully Dr. Dre can do
a few things. Neptunes, you know, the usuals, Doghouse Production. I just want
