Dr.
Dre sat down with MTV and talked about the Wash Movie
& Soundtrack. If Dr Dre & Snoop Dogg had enough
time, they would have parlayed the movie's soundtrack
album into their first full-length LP together, which
was supposed to be called Break Ups to Make Ups, but
it looks like this project will never happen.
"Me and Snoop originally wanted to make the soundtrack
album to this movie our reunion CD," Dre explained during
a May interview on the Los Angeles set of "The Wash."
"But an October release slot came up, so we didn't have
enough time to put that in place. We're going to try
to do as many songs as possible for the soundtrack album
and get other people to submit tracks."
The scheduled mid-October releases of both movie and
album have been pushed back, however. "The Wash" gets
its chance to clean up at the box office November 14,
while the soundtrack album arrives November 6
on Dre's Aftermath label and Snoop's Doggstyle Records.
Busta Rhymes and Bubba Sparxxx have solo cuts on the
album, as does singer Truth Hurts & Eve on the song
called 'Benefit Of The Doubt'.
"Her album is just about done," Dre said of his latest
protégé. "We recorded 40 songs with her." Beside Dre,
Mel Man, Rick Rock and Hi-Tek check in behind the board.

You
will remember that we reported on DJ Quiks current situation,
we told you that he formed his own label Euponic Records,
which is a part of Univeral Records. His 6th album will
come out in January and it will be called 'Safe &
Sound Vol. 2'. He'll have guets like Suga Free, El DeBarge,
Snoop & Tha Dogg Pound , W.C., Dr. Dre and more.
This was officially confirmed, this is what Ive found
from Launch.com:
DJ Quik is scheduled to release his new album in
January. Quik is one among other seasoned West Coast
rappers who have signed to the new label Bungalo Records,
which will be distributed by Universal. Suga Free,
Hi-C, and Chill of Compton's Most Wanted are also on
the label's roster. The Bungalo structure will also
include label deals for DJ Quik's Euponic Records, and
Quik's partner Tony Lane's Lane Way Records.
"We're changing the game at Bungalo," says Paul Ring,
Bungalo's founder and CEO. "We view artists more as
partners, which means they retain more creative and
financial control of their records."
DJ Quik's last album, Balance & Options, released
on Arista Records, peaked at Number Five on Billboard's
Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
I thought I'll upload a few radio drops by the homie
Quik. The first ones are both 92.3 the beat Freestyles,
first one is called 9' o Clock Freestyle from 1996 and
the second one is called Top Of My Treehouse (thanx
to Colin for this one). Next up is a 92.3 The Beat Theme,
called 'A Bedtime Story' feat. Suga Free. Get them below.

We
back with a new bomb, yessss we got 2 new songs from
the Wash Soundtrack to preview. The first is the famous
song that hyped up all the fans, called 'On The Blvd'
and is by Dr. Dre, SNoop Dogg and Kokane. Dr Dre &
Snoop Dogg are back on the smash and sound tight and
even Kokane does a good job. Some will remember this
funky beat from the wash website intro produced by Dre.
This gonna be the first single from the Wash Soundtrack,
the video should premier sometimes in the first week
of October.
I like the second song even more, its the one we've
already posted but now in full length, called Bad Intentions.
This is a Dr. Dre solo song and Dre at his best, his
flow combined with the flute makes it to an incredible
song. I dont think anybody will be disappointed with
this Soundtrack. From what we have heard so far it sounds
amazing. It got delayed again though to October 30,
2001. Pre-Order it now online from CDnow.com

Ras Kass finished his masterpiece "Van Gogh" and he

Ras Kass creates an urban masterpiece that takes the
listener on a real ride. Listen for the new hit single

SuP,
I'm back with some new music from the new Jermaine Dupri
album called 'Instructions'. I know that a lot out there
hate on JD but his new album is really tight. The lyrics
arent all that but the beatz are dope. it features guests
like Jadakiss, Usher, Ludacris, Nate Dogg, Kurupt and
more. Kurupt is featured in the song Jazzy Hoez Part
2. This song has the same beat as Part 1 and Kurupt
spits a nice verse over this beat. Nate Dogg is featured
in 2 songs, the first is Ballin Outta Control, we had
this song up for a few weeks (u can find it in the newest
jointz). Anyway, Nate makes his 2nd appearance in 'Whatever'
and steals the show as always. The last song I got from
JD is called Get Some and sounds like a Dre beat, Im
not sure though if its really produced by the Doctor.
Check it out and tell me what you think (Remember Dre
was supposed to work with JD on his new album).

featured Kokane. Below are 2 of my favorites, the first
is Kokane feat. Jayo Felony & Xzibit and is called
Three Dollar Bill. The 2nd track is by Baby S, King
Lou from the Lost Angels, MG and The Gap Band, its called
Every Single Day. Order the compilation here and check those songs out.

Timbaland Says He And Dr. Dre Might Do Album Together!
In August, Timbaland said he was hoping he and Dr. Dre
could juggle their hectic schedules long enough to work
on a major collaboration. "I want to do a Dr. Dre/Timbaland
album," he said. "We've been talking about that. We're
trying to do something real crazy."
On Thursday, Tim said it looks like that project is
becoming more of a reality.
Me and Dre been talking about doing an album called
Chairmen of the Boards," said the sound sculptor, who
added that his Beat Club artists as well as Dre's Aftermath
signees would be among those featured. "You're the first
person who I talked to about it. Dre has kept it under
wraps, I kept it under wraps. He was going to get a
couple of other [producers] like [Jermaine Dupri], but
I really think it should be me and him. We've been talking
about it for the last two months. We'll pick artists
we feel like we should do the beats for and put it out
and promote it."
Dr. Dre could not be reached for comment.

Here are a a few statements from Hip-Hop artists who
were affected by the terrorist attack on New York and
Washington D.C. on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. Kinda
old news, but who cares, everyone out there should know
how the rappers feel about this tragedy. Its courtesy
from SoHH.com, yannow..Props to them.
RBX:
I think it was a complete travesty, man. So many innocent
lives were lost. I know there's a lot of political things'
going of right now that the public don't know about,
but as far as I know that was wrong and it shouldn't
have been done. You got problems; you take it up with
the person you got problems with. That all I got to
say.
Kurupt:
Yeah, we gonna whup they ass, they better stay off the
fuckin' streets and go home! And to the victims and
their families, ya'll keep ya head up, we all ridin'
with ya'll, it's gonna get handled. But there isn't
really anything positive to say about this situation.
Sir
Jinx: The scariest thing about that whole situation
on Tuesday is I was in New York and I saw it, straight
up Like, if you look at the footage and you see the
debris falling out, them is people jumping to their
death, man! That was a real traumatic experience for
me! By me doing my DJ thing, and living my life, your
life can come to a screeching halt by some other person's
negligence, nahmean. It's kind of wild, and it hit me
hard man. See, I'm a producer and I produce my music
and that's definitely a mood changer, like that can
make me make music about that environment. That environment
is so dark and unknown; you don't know where it came
from. So it's a definitely a vibe, and it was really
hard for me.
Bad
Azz: I'm like this man, it's bigger than us. It's
out of our control, we gonna let God handle it and if
we end up going to war and man kills some more man then
its in God's hands. This life is something bigger than
us, so we got to let go and let God handle it. It's
like kids fight in the sandbox, grown men fight in the
world. It's different beliefs; it's different views
that people got, financial situations that people fight
over. I don't feel that war is right but I don't feel
like a person should get hit and not fight back. So
it's a catch 22 right now, somebody done got hit and
a decision must be made. It's just in God's hands now.
Daz:
It was terrible disaster and like Bush said those who
are responsible is gonna get their motherf*ckin' jaw
knocked off! We all gotta stand as a people, do what
we have to do, continue to pray for the victims, as
well as ourselves and the enemy. America God Bless!

Speakin of Snoop Dogg,
a few days ago in Atlanta, Lil Jon & the East Side
Boyz recorded a song for Snoop's new album produced
by Jazzy Pha, who also produced Nate & Ludacris'
Area Codes. Jon performed the hook to the song that
also features Artist Fiend and will most likely include
Ludacris. This song will be on the new Snoop Dogg album.
Theres a new Dr. Dre compilation out called 'More Mega
Big Gangsta Raps'. These are not new tracks, most of
them were released on N.W.A. albums or World Class Wreckin
Crew albums. This is probably a compilation from a publisher
who owns the tracks and wants to make some money off
Dre's music. Below is the cover with the tracklisting:

Dr. Dre contributes $1 million Dollar for victim's relief!!!
Wow. Its good to see Dre contributing to Power 106's
'Power Of A Dollar Relief Fund'. Power 106's "Big Boy
in the Morning" asked each of Power 106 's 1.6 million
listeners to donate one dollar each, towards the goal
of raising $1.6 million dollars for victim's relief.
Then you got Dr. Dre who donates 1 millions bucks! That
man has a heart of gold, no joke. Other celebrities
including Snoop Dogg, Shaquile O'Neal, P. Diddy, Jay-Z,
Warren G, Mack 10, DJ Clue, Irv Gotti and others have
already made donations and are challenging each other
to step up to the plate and feel the Power of a Dollar.
Below
is a new review from the Puff Puff Pass concert last
night in Englewood CO. Thanx to the homie CG213 for
this review. Sit back and read:
Redman and Tha Liks were advertised but neither performed.
The opening act was Mr. Short Khop. I was happy,
but I think I was the only one who bought his album,
because erybody acted like they had never heard of him.
Than they brought Sir Jinx and Bad Azz. Bad Azz
did about 4 songs including, 'U Don't Wanna Be Broke"
and "Streetz Illustrated". Same with ShortKhop,
not many people got into his set.
Than after about a 10 minute break
I heard, "Are Y'all ready for Some Dogg Pound Gangsta
shit?", and than Kurupt came out on stage, with Roscoe,
and than Daz rolled out. They went right into
"What would U Do?" and ended up performing, "ride wit
us", "behind the walls", "we can freak it", "lets get
high", "Lets play house" (Roscoe did Kurupts verse),
"girls all pause", a new Roscoe song, and ended with
"xxplosive".
Before Snoop came out, they played
the national anthem and the crowd went crazy when we
heard it. Then the local radio KS 107.5 came out.
Every ticket sold,$2 of that went to the Red Cross.
and they auctioned off the first 4 rows. Total
$15,000 was raised.
Right after that Snoop came out, and opened with Murder
was the Case. He did all his classics. he
brought out Doggyz Angelz and of course Tha Eastsidaz.
My favorite was "Serial Killah", because he brought
out Daz, Kurupt, and RBX. In the song insted of
saying, "Whats up wit you we represent the Pound and
Death Row" the beat stopped and Snoop, Daz, Soopafly
and pretty much everybody on stage, said, "we represent
dogghouse, fuck Death Row". This was almost as
good as Up in Smoke. I luv'd it.
Get yo tix now, for tour dates
head over to SnoopsDoggPound.
Last but not least I got a rare song from Kurupt, its
called Star Struck and was the b-side on the Girlz All
Pawz single. It features Bigg Gipp, Sleepy Brown, Cool
Breeze And the Organized Noize Productions. Download
it below and once again Id like to thanx Kevin for this
track.

new album 'Return Of the Regulator' is gettin airplay

and produced by Dr Dre. You might remember this beat
from this song cause its almost the same as the Sticky

screen, as she makes cameo appearances in Ali,
starring Will Smith, and she will also play Snoop’s

Dr. Dre.
The Truth will deliver the first single from The Wash

other single called 'Hard On the Boulevard' will be
